On day 4 of the London 2012 torch relay the torch will travel through Bath, Bitton, Longwell Green, Hanham and end the day in Bristol.

London 2012 torch relay
Day 5 of the London 2012 torch relay sees the torch start the day in Bristol, loop around south of the city before heading out to Chippenham, Marlborough, Swindon, then up through Cirencester, Stroud and on to Cheltenham.

Filton Cycle Speedway Club
Filton Cycle Speedway Club holds events and training sessions for anyone interested in learning to ride cycle speedway or wishing to practice and improve their riding skills. Sessions are held at the track at Elm Park, Filton BS34 7PS on Tuesday and Thursday 5.30-7.30pm - all who wish to take part are welcome. For more information click below.

This is a newly formed club for players of Petanque or Boules as it is also known. We are based at the Ratepayers Arms at Filton Sports and Leisure Centre and play on the Elm Park Boules piste close by.
The club has been founded by members of the Ratepayers Arms boules team, which is in Division 2 of the South Gloucestershire Petanque League and whose home fixture night is Wednesday.
Our club night is Wednesday, from 7.30pm, when members can play casual games alongside a league match should there be one, such is the size of the terrain.
We are not formally constituted at the moment, but will develop as more players join. Several of us are members of the Great Western Region of the English Petanque Association and take part in Regional competitions. We welcome new members and the South Gloucestershire Club would be pleased to have more teams in the league next season.
